FAQs

Can the supplements help with medical conditions?

While Nutri-Vet supplements are made to aid, promote, and support the body, they are not intended to cure, reverse, or prevent any condition. If you feel as though one of our Nutri-Vet supplements may benefit your dog, please speak to your veterinarian before adding the supplement to their daily routine to make certain your pet’s individual needs have been considered.

Can the Hip & Joint, Skin & Coat, and Immune & Digestive Biscuits be started at any age?

Our Nutri-Vet Hip & Joint, Skin & Coat, and Immune & Digestive biscuits can be provided to dogs who have been weaned and are eating solid dog food. The amount offered should follow the directions for use chart on the packaging. Additionally, we always suggest speaking to your trusted veterinarian to ensure your little one will benefit from these biscuits being added to their daily intake.

How does the Nutri-Vet Skin & Coat biscuit work to support my pet?

Biotin, zinc, and antioxidant vitamins C & E are included in our Skin & Coat biscuit because they are known to support healthy skin, while omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil and plant are added to support your dog’s skin and coat.

How long are these Hip & Joint, Skin & Coat, and Immune & Digestive biscuits good for?

Our products are stamped with a best by date on the package, which is 2 years from the date of manufacturing. The product should be used within that time frame to provide the highest quality product and when in doubt- throw them out.

Do the Hip & Joint, Skin & Coat, and Immune & Digestive Biscuits count toward the total treats I can give in a day?

Our Immune & Digestive, Skin & Coat, and Hip & Joint biscuits contribute to the treat portion of your dog’s diet, which should make up no more than 10% of their daily energy intake. You can have confidence in your selection, as these biscuits have added benefits alongside their delicious flavors.

Are the Hip & Joint, Skin & Coat, and Immune & Digestive Biscuits made in a facility that processes other tree nuts?

Our Hip & Joint, Skin & Coat, and Immune & Digestive biscuits are manufactured in a facility that processes peanuts and other tree nuts, therefore we do not advise these be used with or around anyone who has a peanut or other tree nut allergy.

The labels on the Nutri-Vet Hip & Joint, Skin & Coat, and Immune & Digestive biscuits say ½ of a biscuit for a 10 lb dog, if my pet is less than 5 lbs, can I give 1/4th of a biscuit?

If your dog weighs 5lbs, you can split a biscuit into four pieces and provide 1 of the 4 parts daily, which would be approximately 3.5 grams.
